1st Woodham Ferrers Scout Group
Annual General Meeting
All Scout Groups are required to hold an Annual General Meeting, or AGM for short, which is a compulsory yearly meeting held within six months after the financial year end, which is open to all members of the Group Scout Council (i.e everyone associated to the group) with important legal aspects and key mandatory business that must be covered in order to keep compliant with the Scout Association and Charity Commission guidelines.
Although this is a formal meeting we try and avoid it becoming lengthy or tedious but setting a clear agenda from the outset. Historically we have always combined our AGM with a family Fun Day in the month of July which allows us to showcase the activities that we have at our disposal from Archery & Air Rifle Shooting to Kayaking on Clements Green Creek just behind our Scout Hut.
Each year we produce and distribute an AGM report booklet which includes our group accounts, an overview of what has happened in the past 12 months and a report from each of our Beaver colonies, Cub packs and Scout Troops. Please feel free to view our reports from previous years.
